[Dark Metal] |
| Dark visionary technique bred from years of obsessive stylistic copulation brings us the chaotic cyclopean strains of ABSINTHE. Classically trained and perpetually delving deeper into mental depravity while traversing every thread of musical motif, these lunatics never cease to flush all traces of conformity from the collective consciousness of their entralled disciples. Abscond from the shackles of your own nihlistic reality, and absolve yourself in the stygian rapture that is: ABSINTHE | |

[Electro Goth-Rock] |
| The Salt Lake City Weekly calls Listen. "brooding goth rock with epic prog-synth excursions into the none-more-black regions." SLUG says they "are at once sparse, ethereal, mysterious, and unsettling," and that they "fall somewhere between a night exchanging incense sticks with the witches of the local coven in your family room, a political awareness afternoon at the Spitfire Tour, and a night in the introspective room of mirrors in Conan the Destoryer." Come decide for yourself. | |

They churn out upbeats oriented to the dance floor and a distorted, gritty edge to keep your mind moving at the same pace as your feet towards a new and nasty dimension of synthetic music. | |

[by Heidi Evans] |
| Heidi has been designing clothes for many years (starting in childhood), and this is her third year in the Dark Arts Festival. Most of her ideas come from anime and video game characters, yet are not simply costume knockoffs. She enjoys the challenge of taking a design element not intended to exist in the real world and finding a way to make it work. This year's collection deals with the theme of anti-gravity, and includes a bit of homage to the glam rock era as well as classic sci-fi. | |
